| I
asked that question once and Annelies said yes. I was asked if I had ever
have seen or experienced nature spirits and all I can say is that the
forces of life summoned to assist in working magic in nature must be for
real. No, I have never seen a gnome or a fairy, I mean a living one.
I'm not sure if I would recognise one if I did see one. But I have no
problem in understanding who they are and what they represent.
I will keep my article short and share what I have learned in my landscaping
business. I have invested in many water features over the years that included
elemental ornaments known as Gnomes and fairies also
known as Sylphs,
Salamanders and Undines.
I have since leaned that
Elementals are not always the helpful little creatures we’d like
them to be. They can be mischievous, bad tempered little devils if allowed
to get out of control. They remind me of many characteristics of human
beings.
With the help of Annelies' favorite
kids books: GNOMES, the description of gnome life and
culture captured my imagination.
Annelies
warned me not to confuse the Nature spirits with the true life waves evolving
through the invisible worlds. While the elementals are composed of only
one etheric (or atomic) essence, the angels, archangels, and other superior,
transcendental entities have composite organisms, consisting of a spiritual
nature and a chain of vehicles to express that nature not unlike those
of men, but without the physical body with its attendant limitations.
So here we go.
Gnomes - ( our Root and Crown
chakra)
Just as there are many types of human
beings evolving through the objective physical elements of Nature, so
there are also many types of gnomes evolving through the subjective ethereal
body of Nature. These earth spirits work in an element so close in vibratory
rate to the material earth that they have immense power over its rocks
and flora, and also over the mineral elements in our physical bodies.
Some, like the pygmies, work with the stones, gems, and metals, and are
supposed to be the guardians of hidden treasures.
Many of us have Gnome energy within our energy bodies. Especially in our
Root or Base chakra. Annelies uses the elemental beings in her decoding
workbook, which is how I learned what role they play in our physical lives.
We all know the little man with a beard, a red pointy hat and an often
mischievous expression. I believe that they usually appear to humans as
small, dwarf-like creatures. Besides the pygmies there are other gnomes,
who are called tree and forest sprites. To this group belong the sylvestres,
satyrs, pans, dryads, hamadryads, durdalis, elves, brownies, and little
old men of the woods.
In ancient legends the Gnomes were protectors of secret treasures concealed
in vast caverns beneath the earth. Today they are ornaments in our gardens.
The old sages taught that the Gnomes were not naturally inclined to aid
humankind, but if a person won their confidence and trust they would prove
to be valuable allies.
I learned from a woman in South Africa, that Gnomes are the most substantial
of the elementals. They dwell in holes, mines, and caverns. They are the
most like us in personality, with all its good and bad points, but they
are especially prey to all of the weaknesses in human nature. The main
difference between the ill-disposed Gnomes and the well-disposed is that
the well-disposed are always drawn more to the plant and mineral kingdoms
and that the malevolent Gnomes are more drawn into the auric field on
animals and humans. Could that be why when people are drawn to topics
to do with enlightenment, they are also attracted to crystals, gemstones,
plants and flowers?
I remembered from my childhood that Gnomes are ruled by a king whose name
is Gob. His followers came to be called Goblins as tales of them were
told and retold over the centuries.
Annelies in her decoding workshops explained that the elemental's task
was to govern the four elements. So Gnomes govern the Earth, Sylphs control
the Air, Salamanders command Fire and Undines prevail over Water. Elements
and elementals are also assigned to the four cardinal points. So Earth
and Gnomes are assigned to the North, Air and Sylphs to the East, Salamanders
and Fire to the South, and Undines and Water to the West.
Most of my own information comes from different sources, but the lady
I mentioned before had built a fairy garden, just for fun mind you, but
she told me that while she was in her creative mode, shaping her fairy
castle in her back yard up against a mountain, (which she named Titanya
since that is the name of the queen of the fairies) while sculpting with
a mixture of skimming plaster and cement, her project came alive! She
knew that the gnomes build houses of substances resembling in their constituencies
alabaster, marble, and cement, but the true nature of these materials
is unknown, having no counterpart in physical nature.
All she
had to do was be in the moment. By being in her creative space, the images
of landscapes and nature dwellings that were shown to her, although originally
based on reality, were altered by her and probably romanticized, but that
was the way her creative mind grounded her physical body with the earth,
the soil the plants and trees all around her. She became part of it. She
sent us the address to her website where Titanya's cottage with her fairy
castle can be seen. www.clovellywisdomcave.co.za
I've discovered that when
we are becoming more and more spiritually and psychically aware, we are
more and more attuned to the plant kingdom, especially trees when people
start to awaken to the voices of nature; like the philosophers and initiates
of the ancient world who were taught how to communicate with them and
gain their cooperation in undertakings of importance. They never betrayed
the trust of the elementals, for if they did, the invisible creatures,
working through the subjective nature of man, could cause them endless
sorrow and probably ultimate destruction. So long as the mystic served
others, the gnomes would serve him, but if he sought to use their aid
selfishly to gain temporal power they would turn upon him with unrelenting
fury.
That kind of threat might have worked in our ancient past, but today people
are so far removed on an awareness level, it will not. Only through
understanding that our thoughts, feelings and visions create our reality,
and by romanticizing the ancient tales of the mysterious, the wisdom of
the alchemist of those days, can we activate our intuitive nature so that
we once again can interact with nature the way we always did.
I know of some people who call upon the gnomes for help with money matters,
stability, and growth. That might be because Gnomes represent the energy
element that pushes the seed upwards towards the sky. They live underground
but dream, or want to be in the sky. They would like to be birds, free
from planet Earth, free from this physical world of matter. Good luck
to them. It could very well work.
Elements, metals and humours
have all been used to classify and define characteristics of the human
system
Traditionally, there are four types:
* gnomes, earth elementals - I mentioned
in this article
* undines, water elementals
* sylphs,
air elementals
* salamanders, fire elementals.
In my next article: How do the cosmic and earthly forces work
on the plant?
I will write about the Sylphs
and what role they play.
