Our light body, also called our MerKaBa, is the energy field that exists around every living thing throughout the Universe. An activation will result in deeper contact with his/her Higher Self. It therefore will give an unparalleled protection, and our will will strengthen every aspect of life. It is, in essence, an interdimensional vehicle, otherwise known as "The Vehicle of Light. Why is it so importand to read this?

Because our memories are stored in the energy body, our etheric body that surrounds our physical body, the maintenance of that electromagnetic field is critical to the maintenance of our memories. Annelies keeps saying that it is especially important right now, as the earth prepares to go through another magnetic pole shift, as predicted in 2012 - each person who has activated their Light body has the ability to lift not just themselves, but hundreds or even thousands of people with them, sometimes carrying the energy of entire soul families.

Our etheric body, which is an electric/magnetic energy field that vibrates snugly around our physical body, will gradually spin into a higher octave of light during our awakening stage in this life time. This changing of our vibrational frequency is a gradual one, or else we would experience an electrical 'burn out'. We are not matter one day and pure Light the next. Our Light body is gradually created through the transmutation of our current physical body. As we absorb more Light through activating our sixth sense, it is changing the speed of our energy field. In order to be in alignment with energy fields that resonate on higher frequencies and higher octaves of Light, we need to speed up the vibrations of our energy field. Many call this transformation a paradigm shift.

We are the creators of this 'reality' Humanity as a whole have reached, or arrived, in this physical evolution to a life of self-awareness. We must now all awaken to our true potential before we can move into our next stage of evolution.
Throughout the five ascension novels with their workbooks, a reflection will be given of what life could be like from the year 2008 until 2020.  
Humanity as a whole is all evolving and absorbing more Light, but each individual awakens at their own pace. Like the people in the novels. Some are consciously working with these changes and so their transmutation is quicker. Some are unaware and are absorbing this Light and change in direct relation to our planetary change. Some experience often traumatic wake-up calls, because their soul had chosen this before this incarnation. I personally know this to be true.
 
We live in exciting times, but for many it is one of the most difficult times ever. All the people that have a connection with the Jaarsma family tree experience that anything that belongs to the old paradigm is collapsing around them. For some it is experienced through the gradual collapse of our monetary systems. (Their world is bankrupt) So is ours!

Most of the pharmaceutical industries have no place in the new paradigm. Many of our consumer products (Soft drink and chain fast food companies especially) will collapse. Businesses will not thrive anymore on the principles of usury and exploitations. People will move away from the cities and join communities in order to live in harmony with each other and nature. Many will find their soul's passion and come up with wonderful innovative ideas in every field of human endeavour which collectively will create the momentum for this quantum leap in consciousness.

The activation of our Light body is due to the planet’s current transition process of the last 100 years and is not an optional experience or process. Beings that do not wish to be part of this process at this time will (unconsciously) choose death by accident, natural disaster or decay and disease. Those souls will continue their evolutionary cycle on another planet that will have the frequency comparable to theirs, because our planet Earth is also ascending. Many people would not consciously be aware of this speeding energy pull. Souls that incarnated and explored through ‘humanity’ for the last 25000 to 35000 earth years have experienced many evolution cycles. There is no judgment in the evolution process.
