January 2007 is just about gone, so I'm just in time with this newsletter. I've been involved in a major landscaping project in the last two months – with the help of the elemental kingdom. Great fun, but hard on my hands. There is a lot that I've learned and it already feels that on a consciousness level humanity as a global unity is awakening faster and faster. This might surprise some readers when they read, hear or watch the global news on TV, but a lot is going on in dimensions unknown to most.

The Elemental Kingdoms are also evolving.

During my activities outside – landscaping and designing, including water features and a fairy garden – I was intuitively told by the elementals that in order to produce anything beautiful in nature we need their help; especially if we want to have the gift of imbuing our efforts with actual plant life. I knew that some sort of creative force was always around me, especially during moments when an idea inspired me to build yet another water feature near a large boulder, (the fourth one so far). But do fairies, gnomes and other mystical creatures really exist?

It took me a while to grasp what was intuitively being conveyed to me, while doing a lot of heavy work. I came to realize that the elemental kingdom cannot show themselves physically – since our human mind cannot as of yet manifest their forms into our dimension – but I believe now that that might soon change.
The elemental kingdoms are necessary to arouse the interest of humanity to search for a sense of beauty or an enthusiasm for good. This is what occupied my thoughts.

Although my physical senses were more allured that ever, the idea that unseen kingdoms like that of the gnomes, sylphs, undines and salamanders are for real; that they are still at the stage of striving to become something in the sense-world was a wonderful thought. Until now they still are only alive in my fantasy world, but...even if they are on the way to having forms that resemble those in our sense-world; their forms might not be the same as the fairy tale images. It would be terrific if they would one day become perceptible to the senses of people today.
So, in the mean time I have been inspired to write about the Elemental kingdom through the character Toon. Since he is the gardener and landscaper of the Jaarsma Clan. He will write in this website about the elemental beings and the roles they play in our ascension journey. Remember that all the characters in my ascension novels reflect us – immortal beings.

There are two kinds of elemental beings. The ascending and descending elementals.

It’s through the study of the elemental kingdom in books by Rudolf Steiner that I came to the following contemplations.
The path of Ascending can be associated with an evolving towards a higher creative light. The path of Descending can be associated with our original awareness where illusions and darkness takes shape as a reality. where our distorted thought patterns run wild. Neither is bad or good, it just is. Its creation. Like ugliness or beauty, both are linked as one.

The law of creation is hidden in the 'Language of Light codes', (the original scripts of the ultimate programmer!) That is why it could be that it is not possible to produce beauty without the foundation of ugliness. People who do not want to accept that they themselves are blind to the illusions about the world, will not change unless they genuinely desire to know the essential and not the illusory. Then they must acquire a spiritual knowledge of our physical world.

The cosmic secret could be that beauty arises on the foundation of ugliness.

Some Examples:

• Please recall the ugliness from which a butterfly can spring forth.
• Or like dung or manure, from which beautiful plants spring.
• Or ugly-spidery worms and slimy creatures - the inner necessity of life for the plant kingdom in order to beautify our world.

Whoever believes that there is art in the world without ugliness does not know what art is. Likewise the people who want to do away with manure on the fields, these people must acquire Spiritual knowledge if they do not want to go on wandering about like earthworms, keeping to their own clinical environment and not looking upwards to what is possible.
The film The Matrix Reloaded shows how hideously ugly ghastly creatures, the very archetypes of ugliness are in the end merging with man, so man’s Soul can awaken to the real beauty within themselves.
I'm foremostly inspired to write on these topics because when people are not properly prepared they must be held back from the threshold of the spiritual realm where pure beauty exists.
