| Can we turn our dreams into our reality? |
| Napoleon Hill used very wise
words: “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it
can achieve.” so let's investigate that further. Are you ready to challenge and redirect your vision? Are you ready to take your future to the next level? When I see those questions as headings on a newsletter arriving in my inbox, I know that my readers would love to read the answers to those universal questions - without spending more money on a weekend retreat or a workshop. |
My answer is - We can. We go on a retreat every night! It cost us nothing! Our workshops are the time we spend dreaming! Dreams make perfect sense when you’re having them. Yet, they leave you befuddled the next morning, wondering “where did that come from?” Our answer lies in that very question. "Where did that came from"?
The deeper meaning of Paulo Coelho story was that we are all true magicians, but it's our disbelief that stops us from producing miracles! That was also what Jesus said. "What I can do, you can do also and more!" Now, getting back to our dream time. During our sleep we move into different levels of consciousnes. No matter what the words are we use for these levels, let's rather perceive it from this angle. Every level that we find ourselves in during our dream time, represents the thought- forms our mind has stored away during our waking moments as human beings. Think about this for a moment.
This was just a normal day. Not overly good, but it could have been worse. Let's say that you are in the habit of reviewing your day before you go to sleep and recalling the feel-good moments.
Our every day experiences are fleeting or random moments so in the end we rely on our memories of them - together with our understanding of the past and our sense of identity. Yet, our memory in itself seemed so biased and unstable, it is easy to let our imagination take over,(especially when we are hurt or angry). This further distorts events, so that in order to remember them in your own way, and... knowing that the brain is based on physical reality, and likewise our dreams occupy the same space as the mind (that is, no space at all), we have set up a dream reality for that night before we know it. Has it become a nightmare? A confusing dream with no real answers, or are we inspired with the ideas that we have woken up with? Much of the fodder for our dreams comes from recent experiences, but not always, let's investigate this. There are different ways we store away memories. The images that appear in our dreams appear as 'forms' and 'emotion' type memories and they are not restricted by our physical reality rules of time, space and growth. They involve the materialization of spontaneous constructions which would normally not occur in our physical world. During lucid dreams, people are "awake" within their dreams, and can sometimes direct what happens next in the dream. With enough practice you can fly, visit exotic places, experience vivid colours, or eat all the ice cream you want, all without taking your head off the pillow. When you read Richard's journals you learn all about how he does it. His journals shows some light on how lucid dreamers get started and offers a variety of tools for the reader set on taking charge of their subconscious life. How much time do you give to your dreams every day? For many of you it is NONE! Then how can you ever expect to make them come true? Only when your vision is clear can you plan how to actually get there. Always start with the end result in mind! That is what most of us do wrong. We start walking before we know exactly where we are going. In consequence we stray off and get discouraged. Most of us dream, sometimes they are nightmares, but sometimes they are also dreams about a possiblility that only happens in dreams, but we might show no courage to pursue them. When that happens it's our own fears of failure that hold us back from pursuing these dreams. A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity. An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. Who are you? It was Thomas A. Edison who once said, “I’ve
not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that do not work”.
Was that a comment from an optimist, or a pessimist? You know the answer
I'm sure. Remember that the first (mild) example of daily experiences bring with them negative thought-forms that you have stored in your subconsious. The second (mild) example are the positive thought-forms that have the power to delete the negative vibes that are stored in your data base. Can we use our dream time to our advantage? YES The more negative thought-forms we become aware of, and we have found a way to delete them by overlapping these feelings with positive feelings and thought-forms, we can proceed in creating the dreams we want to materialise! It's really that simple! Or that difficult. That depends from which perspective you obverve your possibilities as a true magician. Be outrageous! Think big! You can do it - if you really want to. Maybe
the poem written by Marianne Williamson demonstrates what I mean. The
words are very powerful and were used by Nelson Mandela in his Inauguration
speech in 1994... |
